Artist Profile

     Much of my formal art training has been at The Art League, Alexandria, Virginia. I have exhibited at the Montpelier Arts Center, Laurel, Maryland, The Maryland Federation of Art, Annapolis, Maryland, Artworks at 7th, North Beach, Maryland and The Art League, Alexandria monthly juried shows and Gallery 75 located in the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, Virginia. I participate with the Hyattsville Community Arts Alliance and the Annapolis Arts Alliance on an ongoing basis.

     Acrylic painting is my choice of medium. There are many gels and acrylic mediums available that beg for exploration to enhance flat, predictable paint surfaces.

     Abstract themes find their way into my work, along with depictions of humorous animals, humans and objects. I continually rotate the surface I am working on to deny gravitational orientation. I often inject my works with contemporary discordant objects to provide an element of amusement for the viewer.
